NOS at Scottish Opera: Anarchy at the Opera

The National Opera Studio returns to Scottish Opera this spring to explore the theme of Absurdism, featuring excerpts from Les Mamelles de Tirésias to Alcina, Cheryomushki to Le Roi Carotte. This performance will be conducted by Scottish Opera’s Head of Music Derek Clark and accompanied by the Orchestra of Scottish Opera with Emma Jenkins directing.

Siân will be performing the roles of Bradamante in the Act 3, scene 7 Trio from Handel’s Alcina, Zaida in the Act 2 Quintet of Rossini’s Il Turco in Italia, as well as ensemble roles in excerpts from Shostakovich’s Cheryomushki, Gilbert & Sullivan’s The Mikado, Britten’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Martinu’s Julietta and Offenbach’s Le roi Carotte.
